Shemini Atzeret (The Last Great Day)
Torah Command:Lev. 23:39; Num. 29:25
When is it?:The 8th day (the day after Sukkot)
We are to:Keep it as a High Shabbat
Also known as:The Eighth Day; The Last Great Day
Overview: This is a "naked" Mo'edim as in there are no props to celebrating and no instructions except that it is a High Shabbat. Shemini Atzeret is all about drinking from the true Living Water, Yahshua (discovered in the Temple Water Libation Ceremony that happened on Shemini Atzeret in Temple times). This Mo'edim is just for Israel and is all about lingering a little longer with your Bridegroom just one more day (as discovered in the sacrifice of only 1 bull on this day in contrast to the 70 bulls for the 70 nations during Sukkot). It's about spending time with your Creator when he asks you to. It's also about collecting all the Kingdom Treasures (pearls of great price) as seen in the Hebrew word: Atzar (to collect). It points us to a new time when YHVH will live with us (as seen in the meaning of the Hebrew word for "eighth" / Shemini).
Promoting a simple and joyful understanding of Yahshua's Royal Priesthood and what we are to be doing with our lives.
